Daisy Lane: Everything Good

Today I have for you another installment of CASE The Catalog! For this card I am CASEing page 22 of the AC. This card features the all new Daisy Lane stamp set and the Special Celebrations stamp set. Details are below along with a video of how I created the background!

As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator we get access to a document that tells us exactly what products and techniques were used to create the card samples in all of the publications. I love having this tool because I’m not always right when I guess what product is used! For example with this card sample in the catalog the designer used the new Pigment Sprinkles to create the watercolor look on the background and then stamped over top.

My video shows how I thought it was done! I love how my card turned out and I think this makes an awesome masculine birthday card! I can already think of many more cards I could make with this technique and sketch layout.

Whenever I make a video for a card I have made I like to list the dimensions and the supplies to give you the opportunity to craft along with me. I hope that this is helpful.

Colour Combo Blog Hop

Hello All! Thank you for visiting my blog today. This is my first Colour Combo Blog Hop and I am so excited to share my creation with you. As you travel through this hop you will see projects made by Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. Every project uses this month’s color combination: Gray Granite, Poppy Parade, and Daffodil Delight.

This card was made using the Love What You Do Stamp Set that was introduced in the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog and has carried over to the new catalog. I love using my stamp sets and supplies in new ways.

I also have a video to share with the directions to make this card yourself. I CASE’d an account I follow on Instagram (@stampinthroughthecatalog). I love the idea that they are sharing a few cards each week using new sets from the catalog and working their way through it! The creators of the account also just announced their plans for the 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog and I can’t wait to join!

Dimensions and Supplies:

  • Dimensions:
    • Grey Granite Card Base 8 ½” x 5 ½” (scored at 4 ¼”)
    • Daffodil Delight DSP 5” x 3” and 4” x ½”

Happy Tails: Sympathy

Hello All!

I made this sympathy card to showcase the Happy Tails bundle available for 10% only until June 3, 2019. The stamp set and punch will continue in the 2019-2020, but the bundle price goes away when the 2019 Occasions Catalog ends on June 3, 2019.

I made my second video ever to show how I created the watercolor doggy silhouette and the layered Sympathy sentiment.

I love layering sentiments using adhesive sheets and die cuts. I learned this technique from other crafters and I’ve been using it ever since! I’m sad that the adhesive sheets are no longer available through Stampin’ Up! because I use them so often, but they are still available through other sources.

Please check out the video below. If you want to make the card along with me you will need the following supplies: Happy Tails Bundle https://tinyurl.com/y36kvnj3, Whisper White Cardstock https://tinyurl.com/y9mybegz, Basic Black Cardstock https://tinyurl.com/yyzlknvn, Water Color Paper https://tinyurl.com/y4o5d68d, Smoky Slate Ink Pad https://tinyurl.com/yyznnptq, Highland Heather https://tinyurl.com/y6no7fka, Coastal Cabana https://tinyurl.com/y6nmqyut, Bermuda Bay https://tinyurl.com/y478nyty, Aqua Painters https://tinyurl.com/y2q6rtd2, Clear Block D https://tinyurl.com/y5u93xtt, Snail Adhesive https://tinyurl.com/yy7wjuj5, Sizzix Adhesive Sheets (no longer available, but mono glue or fine tip glue pen work great!).

Dimensions: Whisper White Card Base 8 ½” x 5 ½” (scored at 4 ¼”), Water color paper 4 ¼” x 5 ½” (a scrap piece will due), and Black cardstock 4 ¼” x 5 ½” (a scarp piece will due).

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and checking out this video! I’m learning how to film and edit better so please keep up with my as I post more! My goal was to have videos posted every Friday, fingers crossed!
