Colour Combo Blog Hop: January 2020

Welcome to the first Colour Combo Blog Hop of the new year! Thank you so much for joining us this month. If you’ve come here from Sandra’s blog make sure you continue on the hop and leave love with each creator.

I’ve been trying to participate in as many challenges and blog hops as I can to help build traffic to my blog, but mostly to help me use my stash of supplies! I’ve always been a craft collector and more recently I’ve started to be more of a crafter!

I created this card using a brand new bundle from the 2020 January-June Mini Catalog called So Sentimental Bundle. The stamp set has a bunch of really great sentiments and the dies (called Stitched So Sweetly Dies) have the stitched scallop rectangles and the stitched labels. I know that I will be using this stamp set and these dies for so many cards!

Below is the list of all the items I used to create this card! If you click on one it will take you to my store. If you don’t already have a demonstrator in the US I would be delighted to help you.

Please continue on the blog hop by clicking the next button above. Don’t forget to leave a note of love for each crafter as you stop by.

To Every Season: Fall

Welcome to the 2019 Kre8tors Blog Hop! I’m so excited to be joining this fun collaboration with fellow demonstrators for my first blog hop with them. This month’s theme is Fall.

I used the To Every Season Bundle to create my fun fall themed card. Below you will see all of the products that I’ve used today including the Basic Patterned Masks I used to create the ombré polka dot background. I love these masks for creating unique coordinating backgrounds. Stampin’ Up! does an awesome job creating coordinating products for us to create with, but sometimes a custom color creation is necessary…enter the Basic Patterned Masks or the Pretty Party Decorative Masks!

I used Crushed Curry, Mango Melody, And Pumpkin Pie ink to make these polka dots pop! I also added a little Wink of Stella to a few of the dots because I can’t have a card without sparkle. I can definitely see more cards with this technique in my future.

Thank you for hopping to my site and checking out my creation! If you saw something you love, please contact your demonstrator to place your order. If you don’t have a demonstrator and you are located in the US, I would love to help you! Please feel free to contact me with questions or comments!

World Card Making Day

Happy World Card Making Day! Join me and other crafters around the world in card making to prepare for the first annual Card Sending Week led by Stampin’ Up!

I started making these cards when I saw them in our Stampin’ Success magazine sent to all demonstrators. I had all of the items they used and I thought these would be great cards to send to all of my crafty friends!

I made 10 cards in total and it took me several months to finish my project even though it probably only took a few hours! I’ll be sending them out next week!

Paper Pumpkin: June Kit

I know I said the next project I would share would be my Colour Combo Blog Hop submission, but I really wanted to say something about Paper Pumpkin! I have to admit I’m hot and cold on Paper Pumpkin. Some months I love the kit the way it is intended to be create and others the kit/box floats around my craft room unloved.

The June kit was one of the kits that I just didn’t know what to do with. I started scrolling one of my favorite #Hashtags on Instagram and was blown away by the crafters who found a way to create with the contents of the June kit!

That #Hashtag I love so much is #artisandesignteam! It’s where all of the carefully hand selected Artisan Design Team Members creations can be found all on one screen!

I CASE’d Lauren Alarid’s A2 cards and couldn’t be happier that I had this kit on hand! I’m even thinking about ordering a refill so I can CASE all the other alternative projects I am seeing posted by other talented crafters!

I added the Subtle 3D embossing texture to both cards and changed the embellishment on the Coastal Cabana card, but otherwise they are exactly the same. I’m so grateful for the Artisan Design Team for sharing their creativity!

Abstract Impressions: Kindness

I created this card using a combination of new and carry over Stampin’ Up! goodies. I feel it is very important to show how to combine the new exciting products with our faithful staples. I’m also super fond of this sketch (and many sketches like it) and will most definitely be sharing more cards made in this image throughout the year.

I used Pool Party Cardstock, Bird Ballad DSP, and Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped my sentiment from Abstract Impressions stamp set in Mossy Meadow and leaves from Free As A Bird in Old Olive (they were left over from a previous card). Finally, I embossed my Pool Party CS with the Layered Leaves 3D folder, added a bit of Rose Thread, and dropped a few rhinestones on top!

This card was created using the TGIF sketch challenge seen below. One thing you will learn quickly about my crafting style is that I have a tendency to create, but not share in a timely fashion! Every year I set a goal to get better at sharing and every year I get better, but I’m working this year to be more timely.

Thank you so very much for visiting my blog today! I previewed this card on Instagram several days before I got around to writing this post, so if you want to follow me there too you can @Sparkle_And_Stamp.

Colour Combo Blog Hop

Hello All! Thank you for visiting my blog today. This is my first Colour Combo Blog Hop and I am so excited to share my creation with you. As you travel through this hop you will see projects made by Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. Every project uses this month’s color combination: Gray Granite, Poppy Parade, and Daffodil Delight.

This card was made using the Love What You Do Stamp Set that was introduced in the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog and has carried over to the new catalog. I love using my stamp sets and supplies in new ways.

I also have a video to share with the directions to make this card yourself. I CASE’d an account I follow on Instagram (@stampinthroughthecatalog). I love the idea that they are sharing a few cards each week using new sets from the catalog and working their way through it! The creators of the account also just announced their plans for the 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog and I can’t wait to join!

Dimensions and Supplies:

  • Dimensions:
    • Grey Granite Card Base 8 ½” x 5 ½” (scored at 4 ¼”)
    • Daffodil Delight DSP 5” x 3” and 4” x ½”
    • Whisper White Cardstock 4” x 5 ¼” and 4” x 3”

Retirement Party

At the end of each Stampin’ Up! publication I like to throw a retirement party for the products that will no longer be available. Inevitably I have more ideas for cards and creativity than I am able to hold classes for and this is the perfect opportunity to showcase items one last time!

We made 5 cards at my 2018-2019 Annual Catalog and 2019 Occasions Catalog retirement party. Today I am sharing 3 with you.

The above card features the Needle Point Nook Suite from the 2019 Occasions Catalog. I CASE’d this card and the other two cards from Pinterest. I am always so inspired by my fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and our customers that I feel obligated to share!

This card features the longest running stamp set in Stampin’ Up! history, Lovely As A Tree. I also used Kindness & Compassion, but that stamp set is sticking around.

I also try during my retirement parties to feature In Colors, embellishments, and designer series paper (DSP) that will no longer be available. With this card I hit the trifecta with the copper wire ribbon, the Love What You Do DSP, and Tranquil Tide cardstock and ink.

I have wanted to feature this cute little bumble bee card in a class for a very long time, but I just couldn’t fit it into any of the themes I had planned. Thank goodness for the retirement party!

I used blends to color in the focal bumble bee and Memento Tuxedo Black ink for all of the stamping!

I am going to miss some of the retiring Stampin’ Up! products in my regular rotation very much, but I know I will find new favorites available on June 4, 2019!
