We’re In This Together

Last week I shared a promotion that Stampin’ Up! was offering where you could order and download a PDF full of sassy social distancing and quarantining sentiments! Well, this week I’m sharing some of the cards I put together with a few of my favorite sentiments.

I hope this reminds you to #spreadsunshine! I’ve been seeing a lot of rainbows as inspiration lately whether posted in windows, drawn on sidewalks with chalk, or using various stamp sets, dies, or creative techniques to make cards to share. I thought I would join in on the rainbow fun (and use up some of my soon to be retire DSP).

I love the look of black and white with all of the colors of the rainbow! Below I’ve listed all of the products I used that are currently available. During this time I’ve been able to clean and organize my craft room a bit and I found an almost used up package of black rhinestones so I decided to use them on these cards! While black rhinestone aren’t currently available from Stampin’ Up! I do have a trick to share with you…sharpie markers. Use a black sharpie marker and color over a Rhinestone Basics Jewel to create black rhinestones. Our Stampin’ Blends markers work really great for this technique if you want a color of rhinestone that doesn’t exist.

Colour Combo Blog Hop: May 2020

Thank you for stopping by today, I’m so happy to be participating in another Colour Combo Blog Hop! My favorite part about this hop is seeing the different interpretations of the combo.

I created this card using one of my favorite floral set from the current Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog, Beautiful Friendship. I find that this stamp set is my go to when I need to make a thoughtful card and right now we all need a little more thoughtfulness! The sentiment is from Tasteful Textures and can’t we all agree it’s important to take time to feed our souls!

I stamped the largest flower image in Crumb Cake ink stamped off once to give it an even more subtle imprint. Then I stamped the rose trio image once in full strength Calypso Coral and then again, but twisted to offset the image. I added in Soft Sea Foam leaves because you can’t use this set without the leaves! Finally I stamped the sentiment from Timeless Textures in Gorgeous Grape.

Normally, I would add sparkles (hello, it’s in the name) or embellishments to my cards but this card didn’t seem to call for any rhinestones or pearls. If you want to make this card I’ve listed the products I used below. I also have a variation on this card here.

Again, thank you so much for stopping by today and I encourage you to click the next button to continue on this hop. The creators who participate are amazing and you should totally check out what they are sharing!

Colour Combo Blog Hop: March 2020

Hi Everyone! I’m so happy to be able to participate in this monthly Colour Combo Block Hop! It helps me to see colors that I wouldn’t normally use working together.

To create the pattern on my stitched rectangles I used a baby wipe wrapped around a clear block. I dotted ink along the edge of baby wipe and brushed it over whisper white cardstock. Then I die cut and arranged them on my card front. I love this technique for when I can’t find DSP that coordinates with my project.

Colour Combo Blog Hop: January 2020

Welcome to the first Colour Combo Blog Hop of the new year! Thank you so much for joining us this month. If you’ve come here from Sandra’s blog make sure you continue on the hop and leave love with each creator.

I’ve been trying to participate in as many challenges and blog hops as I can to help build traffic to my blog, but mostly to help me use my stash of supplies! I’ve always been a craft collector and more recently I’ve started to be more of a crafter!

I created this card using a brand new bundle from the 2020 January-June Mini Catalog called So Sentimental Bundle. The stamp set has a bunch of really great sentiments and the dies (called Stitched So Sweetly Dies) have the stitched scallop rectangles and the stitched labels. I know that I will be using this stamp set and these dies for so many cards!

Below is the list of all the items I used to create this card! If you click on one it will take you to my store. If you don’t already have a demonstrator in the US I would be delighted to help you.

Please continue on the blog hop by clicking the next button above. Don’t forget to leave a note of love for each crafter as you stop by.

Stamp n’ Hop: SAB/Mini Catalog Showcase

Hello everyone! Welcome! I’m so excited to be kicking off the new year with my first blog hop with the Stamp N’ Hop stampers. I created this card to showcase items from either the Sale-a-bration Brochure or the 2020 Mini Catalog (formerly occasions).

While there is some super cute stuff in the SAB Brochure, I chose to focus on the Mini Catalog. That’s truly the hardest part of a new catalog launching. There are always so many ideas and new products that picking just one suite to focus on can be a challenge!

Below I’ve listed all of the products that I used to create this card. If you don’t currently have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator I would be happy to help you! Just click on the thumbnail image of the item you love and add it to your cart.

You can also use my January Host Code to earn some Extra Sparkle for free! Check it out here!

Click the button below to head on your way to the next blog! Be sure to check back on the 2nd Saturday when we will be hopping again!
