Happy Halloween!

Each year when the Holiday Catalog comes out I’m so excited about all of the Christmas products and I go straight to planning my Christmas cards and projects. Around September I realize that there are 2 holidays between then and Christmas that I need to create for! This year Stampin’ Up! offered a really cute Halloween Suite called Monster Bash Suite that included an awesome stamp set with coordinating dies and so many cute accessories including these Coffin Treat Boxes!

Our neighborhood isn’t set up for Trick or Treat-ing so I normally just make cards to send out to all of our kiddo friends! I don’t usually make many treat boxes because they don’t mail well, but I wanted to make these cute little boxes for my Halloween Stamp Class! I used the Shimmer Embossing Paste with Memento Tuxedo Black ink mixed in to create the pattern on top of the box. The embossing paste was so easy to work with that I hope I remember it when I need to add a little texture to a project!

The tag is a combination of elements from the Ornate Frames Dies and the September Paper Pumpkin kit. It’s always tough to decide what to do with the left over Paper Pumpkin pieces, but I was so happy to have enough left over skeletons to use on these tags!

I also drew inspiration from the Holiday Catalog to create this super cute stick candy treat holder! You can find the original on page 50! It features the For Every Season Bundle and the Monster Bash DSP.

I used some Halloween inspired products that I had on hand to give these treats a little extra Halloween sparkle! The Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon is available in the annual catalog, but I combined it with some Pumpkin Pie ribbon and Basic Grey Bakers Twine that I had stashed away. I think they add the perfect touch and remind us to use what we have on hand to create awesome projects!

I put together my September Paper Pumpkin Kit and filled the boxes with little gummy pumpkins for treat for my coworkers!

My favorite part about Paper Pumpkin is that I can always rely on the kits to contain timely holiday ideas! If you don’t subscribe to Paper Pumpkin year round I strongly recommend that you subscribe at least for January (Valentines Day), September (Halloween), and October & November (Christmas).

Finally, I’ll share the card I made for all of the little ghouls and goblins!

I was inspired by other cards I saw using the Monster Bash Suite using the pigment sprinkles to create a cool water color backgound. I made this card my own by adding texture to the background with the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder and layering DSP. This cars was so much fun to make and I can’t wait to break out the Pigment Sprinkles again!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy Halloween!

Paper Pumpkin: June Kit

I know I said the next project I would share would be my Colour Combo Blog Hop submission, but I really wanted to say something about Paper Pumpkin! I have to admit I’m hot and cold on Paper Pumpkin. Some months I love the kit the way it is intended to be create and others the kit/box floats around my craft room unloved.

The June kit was one of the kits that I just didn’t know what to do with. I started scrolling one of my favorite #Hashtags on Instagram and was blown away by the crafters who found a way to create with the contents of the June kit!

That #Hashtag I love so much is #artisandesignteam! It’s where all of the carefully hand selected Artisan Design Team Members creations can be found all on one screen!

I CASE’d Lauren Alarid’s A2 cards and couldn’t be happier that I had this kit on hand! I’m even thinking about ordering a refill so I can CASE all the other alternative projects I am seeing posted by other talented crafters!

I added the Subtle 3D embossing texture to both cards and changed the embellishment on the Coastal Cabana card, but otherwise they are exactly the same. I’m so grateful for the Artisan Design Team for sharing their creativity!
